The Joy of Photography – Amateur Photography As A Hobby
To me, the joy of photography is noticing points of view that maybe nobody else has considered, capturing those moments, and then sharing them for others to enjoy. My most frequent subjects include nature, everyday items, patterns and textures, architectural elements, and the moon. While I do use a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera for some of my photos, I often use my cell phone camera, since I always have it with me.
Below are some examples of the types of subjects I typically photograph. My photos occasionally come from dedicated photo shoots, but more often, they result from spontaneous opportunities. Carrying a cellphone with a decent camera allows me to capture subjects, sometimes fleeting, that I would otherwise miss.
